Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite has always been a part of christmas celebrations, or so it seems. Following are three of the most popular tunes ever heard during the festive season.

And now, to the Caribean beat of Mary's Boy Child.

Having long been a fan of Beethoven I felt I just had to find an appropriate number for inclusion in this concert. And I did. Here is the Overture "Coriolan" (c minor) Op. 62 "Allegron con brio" sequenced by Hans-Joachim Roeder. Thank you so much Hans for so gratiously granting me permission to use this work.
|
Another beautiful number from Hans-Joachim Roeder is Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No 1 Op. 46 Tempo di Mazurka, better known as Anitra's Dance. Again, thank you Hans for sharing this work with us.

Before you turn the page you may wish to go partake of some snack... perhaps a coffee. This next Christmas carol medley will provide the proper background and there is no hurry as it lasts for nearly eight minutes. Enjoy!
