KAHANAHOU'S KAHU LANAKILA SHARES ANCIENT EMPOWERMENT AND 'TRIUNE SPIRIT OF MANKIND'

Kona's 30-year old Kahanahou Hawaiian Foundation, native Hawalian cultural
education center in Kealakekua, South Kona, Island of Hawaii, will be present-
ing internationally acknowledged Po'ohuna scholar, Kahu Lanakila K. Brandt, in
a culturally/spiritually absorbing simininar, to be conducted in the Kona Surf
Resort and Country club, at Keauhou, South Kona, Island of Hawaii.

Kahu Lanakila, consecrated 45 years ago as a Kahuna A'o or 'Teaching
Priest," will lead studies in the ancient practice of the Lono Priesthood:

specifically Ho'otuano'o + Ho'amana, "Transcendental Meditation" (ancient Ha--
waiian style), plus "Divine Empowerment," and including "Ka Makia Mana'o" or "the
Pointedness Of Mind." In addition, students may learn Ka Mauri Tau'Toru,
Polynesia's "Triune Spirit of Humankind". which, when you fully understand it's
indispensable role in guiding your life, you may know your own 'divine Power'.

And last, but not least, Kahu will be introducing the priest1y self-protective
technique of Ho'ohuli Hopena, "Blocking &/or Changing an impending fate;"
that the practitioner may never feel compelled to accept inhibiting, or even
              threatening energies along life's paths."

Siminar dates will be from July 11th through the 16th. Seninarians will
be urged to plan their checking-in time at Kona Surf for the afternoon
of Friday, July 11th, so that all may be on hand for a 6:30 a.m. Saturday
commencement. All seninarians will be reguired to participate in the 'live-in'
              immersion aspect of the seminar.

According to a foundation release, registrations will be limited to about
20 persons, on an exclusively pre-registration basis. Donations will cover
beautiful accomodations, meals, study and reference materials, commemorative
              gift and achievement certificate.

Interested persons are "urged to make early reservations, in order to
guarantee a place in the seminar." Registrations forms and further information
may be had by dialing (808) 322-2387 or 322-3901. Or by addressing an enquiry to
KAHANAHOU JULY SEMINAR, P.O. Box 1639, Kealakekua, Hawaii 96750. Registrations
will close on June 30th 1997.

Over its 30 year Kona history, the foundation has sought no federal or
State funding, presenting its many annual Hawaiian cultural programs by means
of 'inhouse'-generated fundraising projects. And, as we have since 1967,
Kahanahou now offers a limited number of scho1arships for native Hawaiians who
              wish to participate.
